Facilitation and Change 〰️
IAF Facilitation and Change Interactive Webinar - Wed 25 Sep 1830-2000 AEDT (90 mins)
Much of a facilitator’s work is helping groups deal with change, either directly or indirectly. ‘Change’ is often synonymous with facilitation, A well-facilitated session might result in changed perspectives; changes in group or organisational direction; changes in mutual understanding; changes to projects or processes; changes in roles or structures; and changes in the way people ‘see’ and work with each other.
How do you, as a facilitator, help groups work through change issues?
Format
This session will explore some of tools we facilitators use to help groups process or manage change. The session will involve small group discussions where people share their ideas on how they help groups deal with change and the tools they employ.
Potential questions for small group discussion might be:
What are the underpinning assumptions you hold about people and change (e.g. “people resist change”) and how does this influence your approach to change facilitation?
What tools or techniques do you use as a facilitator to help groups work through change?
Do you have a ‘go to’ change management tool or approach?
